I work for a large retailer.
Current situation:
- ~300 PCs distributed across the main office and multiple stores
- 50% running Windows 10, 45% running Windows 7, 5% running Windows XP
- All machines run local Admin accounts
- Most of them have Office 365 accounts
Desired situation
Obviously the first thing that needs to happen is a full upgrade to Windows 10, as 7 will be EOL by the end of this year. Windows 7 is also a pain to manage in terms of updates.
The next thing I would like to do is to centralize the user accounts and revoke admin privileges from users, as this is a security risk, and it causes people to install garbage, etc. It's also inconvenient when a computer breaks down and needs to be replaced.
Things I would also like to do is to standardize computer-settings such as usage-times, delivery optimization, setting the Windows Update...
