Intune/Endpoint Manager - Sync could not be initiated (0x80072efe) on pilot PCs

Greetings, everyone!

I'm wondering if there's an issue with our Intune/Endpoint Manager set up. We are currently testing out Endpoint Manager with three pilot devices, and one thing I am noticing is that it takes a very long time to deploy policies and apps to these test devices (usually takes a day, which I would assume it wouldn't take that long).

One thing I did notice in testing is when I try to do a manual sync through Settings --> Accounts --> Access work or school --> Click on "Info" under our domain --> Device Sync Status, all of our devices are showing the same error: The sync could not be initiated (0x80072efe). I've searched all around the Internets to see how this error code pertains to Endpoint Manager, but can't seem to find any information other than attempting to run dsregcmd /leave and reboot.
