Wondered how others update win32 published software where assignment is not "Required" but
"Available for enrolled devices".
Currently the best option I came up with is using file detection rule that checks whether installed version is equal to version I have set up in Intune rule:
It technically works, but there are 2 problems:
1. End user has to manually do reinstall from Company Portal (Thought of maybe creating another win32 package where install is required and somehow populate SG with devices that already have SW I want to update installed, but I have not tested this yet)
2. It does not look pretty in Company Portal when update is available. Since detection rule fails, Company Portal just shows that installation failed:
Is there a better method in Intune for this task or are you using 3rd party software for updates?
